In seven areas, we are working on healthy nature, strong communities, and a future-proof economy.

Healthy areas nourish us, protect us, connect us, and provide resilience to people, nature, and the economy. That is why we bring farmers, communities, governments, and organisations together to create area plans that are feasible and financially viable. We are building an active network in which knowledge and experience are shared across regional boundaries. A learning movement for regenerative landscape restoration is growing, in which nature, society, and the economy are structurally in balance.

Landscape teams are at the heart of the Harvest of Tomorrow.

De Oogst van Morgen is for initiators and landscape partners who want to make a difference together. Initiators know the area, have vision and energy, and take the initiative to form a holistic area partnership.

Landscape partners contribute knowledge, network, and experience, strengthen the partnership, and demonstrate what is possible.

Landscape teams are supported by a network of committed collaboration partners who contribute at a systemic level and help to broadly anchor the collaboration.

How can I join?

Do you work in one of the Harvest of Tomorrow areas? Do you believe in the power of collaboration across areas and sectors, and do you want to make a difference in your area? Join us and help build resilient, vibrant landscapes in the Netherlands.

The seven landscapes

Discover the landscape teams that are restoring landscapes:

Texel

Texel

Texel is a versatile Wadden Island where nature, tourism and agriculture come together. The island faces major challenges such as salinization, housing shortage and the tension between nature conservation and recreation, but also offers plenty of opportunities for sustainable cooperation.

Mooi Maasvallei

The Mooi Maasvallei is a dynamic river landscape with floodplains, terraces, and old riverbeds, where nature and agriculture together shape the area. There is a strong focus on a healthy society with cross-domain collaboration that connects healthy nutrition, exercise, and social cohesion.

By joining the Harvest of Tomorrow, you become part of a larger movement. The Harvest of Tomorrow movement is connected to other initiatives working towards a regenerative future; in regions, the Delta bioregion, Europe, and worldwide. For example, the Harvest of Tomorrow is one of the bioregions within the Bioregional Weaving Labs Collective (BWL).

The 4 spaces of the Harvest of Tomorrow

The Harvest of Tomorrow is a movement that grows from the strength of the landscapes themselves. For two years, we are working in four thematic spaces on what is needed to set regenerative landscape restoration in motion.

Oogst van Morgen programma

Landscape workshop

As a landscape team, you receive personal guidance and learning and reflection sessions. You build a strong collaborative partnership and an active network, and work towards a feasible and investable landscape plan.

System Condition Lab Landscape Financing

In the System Condition Lab Landscape Financing, regions and strategic partners collaborate to develop instruments for landscape financing. As a landscape team, you can make use of this learning and development space.

Oogst van Overmorgen

As a landscape team, you offer two young people (20-40 years old) a place in the Oogst van Overmorgen programme to develop personal leadership, build a youth network, and work on future-oriented prototypes that help the landscape move forward.

Bioregional Finance Facility

In this space, the government, network organisations, and supporting partners join forces to remove financial barriers for landscape initiatives. Landscape teams can connect to this.

De journey ahead

The journey of a participating landscape team goes through 4 phases in which collaboration, learning, and development as a partnership are central at various levels: personal, landscape partnership, region, and the Dutch Delta bioregion.

Timeline Oogst van Morgen

The 4 phases

Phase 1: Initiation phase

From June 2025 to January 2026, the focus is on laying a solid foundation for holistic collaboration at the landscape level. The landscape teams meet in each landscape to explore the potential for landscape restoration.

Phase 2: Partnership development phase

From February 2026 to November 2026, the focus is on strengthening and expanding the area partnership. More stakeholders are being mobilised, and a joint learning process emerges to understand systemic barriers and create systemic conditions.

Phase 3: Landscape Development Phase

From November 2026 to November 2027, partnerships at the regional level will be further developed and initiatives will take shape. Work is being done on an investable landscape plan and the mobilisation of financial resources.

Phase 4: Development phase

From November 2027 onwards, the focus is on supporting the ecosystem of landscapes and the implementation of the landscape plans. There is a strong network of partnerships and a portfolio of initiatives ready for funding.
