Restoration starts with place.
Our Annual Report 2024 is a testament to the power of grounded, place-based partnerships. It highlights a growing global movement built not by top-down mandates, but by people who know their landscapes best.
This year’s impact figures are a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we work with nature:
- Over 14,600 hectares are under improved management by farmers in southern Spain.
- In India, more than 13,300 trees were planted and over 41,000 employment days were created through women-led nurseries, agroforestry, and natural farming — bringing new life to rural economies.
- In South Africa, a newly formed Conservancy Management Unit now links 900,000 hectares across 20 conservancies — scaling up community-driven conservation and stewardship.
- €8.8 million was mobilised into regenerative landscapes in Southwest Australia. We also witnessed a return of land to the Noongar peoples, the Traditional Custodians of the land — reconnecting people to Country and regenerating both ecology and culture.
- In the Netherlands +3,900 hectares of grassland were under improved soil management with 259 farmers adopting improved practices in 2024.
